There is something truly special about a perfectly made croissant. Crisp, golden and beautifully flaky on the outside, with delicate, buttery layers within. Made with the finest ingredients, it is one of life’s simple pleasures – although mastering the art of making one is anything but simple.
Join us for a hands-on day in our bakery, where we’ll guide you through the world of croissants and laminated pastries, sharing the techniques, tips and little secrets to make at home that make all the difference.
You’ll discover the art of lamination – the careful process of folding butter into dough to create delicate buttery layers. Once we have our dough we’ll explore a delicious selection of both sweet and savoury pastries, including classic pain au chocolat, pain aux raisins, savoury scrolls, our signature cinnamon glories and ever-popular almond croissants.
We’ll work with a combination of dough prepared in advance and dough you’ll make yourselves, allowing you to experience every stage of the process.
Although croissants can be made entirely by hand, we recommend using a domestic food mixer at home for the best results. We’ll share plenty of practical advice to help you recreate everything in your own kitchen.
You’ll leave with a generous box of beautiful, freshly baked pastries to enjoy with family and friends, along with detailed recipes, notes and the confidence to have a go at home.
